작년 한국 GDP 세계 11위 ‘제자리걸음’

GDP, 11년째 10위권 밖…구매력 기준 1인당 소득 48위

(서울=연합뉴스) 경수현 기자 = 지난해 한국의 경제 규모는 세계 11위, 구매력을 반영한 1인당 소득 수준은 48위로 전년 순위에서 제자리걸음을 친 것으로 나타났다.

9일 금융투자업계와 한국은행에 따르면 세계은행(WB)이 미국 달러화 기준으로 집계한 지난해 한국의 국내총생산(GDP) 규모는 1조4천112억 달러로 집계됐다.

이는 캐나다(1조5천298억달러) 다음으로 큰 규모로 세계 11위였다.

한국 GDP의 세계 순위는 2001년 12위에서 2002∼2004년 11위를 거쳐 2005년 10위까지 높아졌다가 2006년 11위, 2007년 13위, 2008년 15위로 뒷걸음질 쳤다.

이후 2009∼2013년 14위, 2014년 13위, 2015년 11위로 나아지고는 있지만 11년째 10위권 밖에 머물러있다.

세계은행이 집계한 한국의 GDP가 한국은행이 발표한 수치(1조4천110억 달러ㆍ1천637조4천208억원)와 다소 차이가 나는 것은, 세계은행은 달러화로 환산할 때 3년간 평균 환율을 적용(아틀라스 방식)하기 때문이다.

지난해 나라별 GDP 순위를 보면 미국(18조5천691억달러)이 역시 1위였다.

이어 중국(11조1천991억달러), 일본(4조9천394억달러), 독일(3조4천668억달러), 영국(2조6천189억달러), 프랑스(2조4천655억달러), 인도(2조2천635억달러), 이탈리아(1조8천500억달러), 브라질(1조7천962억달러), 캐나다까지 10위권 안에 들었다.

한국의 뒤를 이어 러시아(1조2천832억달러)와 스페인(1조2천321억달러)이 11위와 12위를 차지했다.

또 호주(1조2천46억달러), 멕시코(1조460억달러), 인도네시아(9천323억달러), 터키(8천577억달러), 네덜란드(7천708억달러), 스위스(6천598억달러), 사우디아라비아(6천464억 달러)가 20위까지 차지했다.

지난해 한국의 1인당 국민총소득(GNI)은 45위(2만7천600달러)로 전년의 46위보다 한 계단 올랐다.

GDP가 국민 경제의 덩치를 보여주는 지표라면 1인당 GNI는 국민의 평균적인 생활 수준을 보여주는 지표다.

그러나 나라마다 다른 물가 사정을 반영해 실제 구매력을 측정하는 구매력평가(PPP) 기준 한국의 1인당 국민총소득(GNI)은 3만5천790달러로, 역시 전년과 같은 48위를 차지하는 데 그쳤다.

구매력 기준 1인당 GNI 순위로 미국(5만8천30달러)은 18위였고 독일(4만9천530달러) 27위, 캐나다(4만3천420달러) 32위, 일본(4만2천870달러) 35위, 프랑스(4만2천380달러) 36위, 영국(4만2천100달러) 37위 등이 그 뒤를 이었다.

1∼3위는 모나코, 카타르, 리히텐슈타인 등 작은 나라들이 차지했다.

스파게티 (Spaghetti) 너구리 만들기

[스파게티 너구리] 아이들이 매일 만들어 달라고 조르네요. 

“아니,,, 백번을 생각해 보아도 내 평생 저렇게 목소리가 큰 사람은 처음 만났던 것 같아” 친구 부부와 자그마한 감자탕 전문점에서 술을 마시면서 남편이 먼저 말을 시작한다. 밤 11시에 간단하게 술 한잔한다고 들른 <감자탕 전문점>은 술을 즐기는 사람들로 발 디딜 틈이 없을 정도 였다. 늦은 밤이다 보니 모두들 얼큰하게 취해 언성을 높여서 이야기를 하지만 대화를 못할 정도로 큰소리로 대화를 하는 사람은 없었다. 늦은 시간이지만 잠시나마 술잔을 기울이며 이런저런 이야기로 꽃을 피웠다.

사실은 얼마전 <곱창 전문점>을 찾았다 곤욕을 치렀기 때문이다. 아들이 퇴근하는 시간에 맞추어 7시 30분에 식당에서 만나기로 약속을 하였다. 그렇지만 <곱창 전문점>이 인기있는 레스토랑이라 항상 손님들도 북적 거려 우리는 서둘러 일찌감치 7시에 도착을 해서 웨이팅 리스트에 이름을 적어 놓았다. “식사를 하려면 얼마나 기다려야 할까요??” 조급한 남편이 직원을 불러서 시간 체크를 해보았다. “넉넉히 한시간 정도 기다리면 자리가 날 것 같습니다” 하고 대답을 한다. 혹시나 싶어 웨이팅 리스트를 보니 5팀 정도가 우리 앞에 있었다. 

“아니~ 여보세요!!! 어떻게 2시간 반을 기다리게 할 수가 있어요??!!” 우리가 음식을 먹기 위해 기다린지 2시간이 넘었는데 우리 앞에 기다리던 분은 2시간 반 이상을 기다렸다고 한다. 기다리다 못해 식당 안을 둘러 보니 대부분 술을 먹는 손님들인데 3시간이 넘어가도 일어날 생각을 안하니 무한정 기다리고 있는 것 이다. 결국 일하시는 분이 오래 앉아 있는 테이블을 다니면서 테이블을 비어 달라고 양해를 구하고 나서야 우리도 겨우 식사를 할 수 있었다. 그런데 식당 안으로 들어가서도 불쾌한 일들이 연속으로 일어났다.

“꽥꽥!! 꽥꽥!!” 가운데 테이블에 앉아 있는 젊은 남성 분이 영어와 한국어를 섞어 쓰면서 소리를 고래고래 지르고 있었다. “우리끼리도 대화를 할 수 없으니 얼른 곱창 구워 먹고 나갑시다” 믿기 어렵겠지만 이 분 목소리가 얼마나 큰지 가족끼리 대화도 나눌 수 없었다. 이런 분을 제지하지 않는 식당 분들도 이상하게 생각이 되었다. 술을 먹지 않는 우리 가족은 30분 만에 식사를 마치고 나왔지만 안에서는 울대가 발달한 그분이 여전이 식당 전체가 울릴 정도로 떠들고 있었다. “어휴~ 식사내내 저 사람 떠드는 소리를 들을 수 밖에 없는데 이상한 영어와 한국말을 마구잡이로 섞어 쓰니 머리가 다 흔들릴 정도이네” 결국 집으로 돌아와서 온 가족이 타이레놀 한개씩 사이 좋게 나누어 먹고 잠을 잤다.

맛있는 재료

너구리 _ 1개, 스파게티 소스 _ 1컵, 

올리브 오일 _ 필요량, 파마산 치즈 _ 약간, 

토마토 _ 1개, 볶음면 분말 스프 _ 1개,

양파 _ 1/2개, 파슬리 가루 _ 약간

만들기

1_냄비에 물을 붓고 끓기 시작하면 준비한 너구리 면을 넣고 약간 덜 익을 정도로 삶는다.

면을 삶을 때 스프를 넣지는 않는다.  

2_끓는 물에 삶아진 너구리 면에 체에 받쳐 물기를 제거해 준비해 놓는다.

3_달구어진 팬에 올리브오일을 두르고 다이스한 양파를 넣고 양파가 투명해질 때 까지 볶아준다. 

양파가 익었다 싶으면 분량의 스파게티 소스를 넣고 끓이듯이 볶아준다. 

4_스파게티 소스가 한소큼 끓으면 다이스한 토마토와 너구리 스프를 넣는다. 

토마토를 넣고 다시 한번 끓이면서 스프가 절 섞이도록 잘 저어준다. 

5_완성한 스프가 끓기 시작하면 물기를 제거한 너구리 면을 넣어 준다. 

물을 센불로 바꾸고 소스가 잘 섞이도록 잘 저어서 <스파게티 너구리>를 완성한다. 

6_완성한 <스파게티 너구리>에 파마산 치즈와 파슬리를 골고루 뿌려 맛을 더한 후 완성한다. 

너구리 스프에 매운 맛이 있어서 완성한 소스는 제법 매콤하다. 

스프의 매콤한 맛이 이태리 스파게티의 느끼한 맛까지 잡아주어 최상의 맛을 낸다.

내가 오랜동안 한국 이탈리안 레스토랑 셰프로 일했다. 

허지만 당시만 해도 일부 유학생이나 세련된 분들이 즐기는 것이 파스타였다.

그 후로 오랜 세월이 지나니 이제는 파스타를 즐기는 한국인이 셀 수도 없다. 

더구나 미국에 와 보니 남가주에서는 파스타를 즐기는 것은 일상이 되어 있다.

토마토 소스를 한국식으로 약간 매콤하게 볶아낸 <스파게티 너구리>를 즐겨 보자. 

한번 만들어 주면 아이들이 매일 조를지도 모르니 조금 긴장해야 할 것 같다. ^^

서서먹는 스시(壽司) 50년 도쿄의 맛집

도쿄의 찜통더위는 우리보다 더했다. 아무리 더워도 ‘금강산도 식후경이라’했던가. 점심을 해결하고 이동할 생각으로 일본 친구 도미타 가즈나리(富田一成·63)씨와 만나기로 했다. 약속 장소는 아사구사(淺草) 센소지(淺草寺) 앞의 ‘가미나리몬(雷門)’. 문 앞에는 피부색과 옷차림이 각기 다른 관광객들이 무리지어 모여들었다.

“갑시다. 여기도 음식점이 많이 있지만, 재미있는 맛집으로 가시죠.”

땀을 뻘뻘 흘리며 약속시간에 맞춰서 나타난 도미타(富田)씨는 필자를 데리고 다시 역 계단을 내려갔다. 지하철을 두 번이나 갈아타고 도착한 곳은 도쿄의 가쓰시카구(葛飾區)에 위치한 게이세이다테이시역(京成立石驛).

재래시장과 골목길 맛 집이 즐비해

“서민적인 재래시장과 싸고 맛있는 맛집들이 오밀조밀 모여 있는 곳으로 한국 관광객들도 많이 찾는 곳이죠?” 필자가 묻자 “그렇습니다. 아쉬운 점은 오늘이 일요일이라서 대부분 문을 닫았습니다만, 문을 연 집도 꽤 있습니다.”고 그가 대답했다.

역에서 나가 시장 통을 한 바퀴 돌았다. 많은 가게들이 문을 굳게 닫고 있었으나, 군데군데 문을 열고 손님맞이를 하고 있는 곳도 제법 있었다. 드디어 역과 인접한 코너의 스시(壽司)집으로 갔다.

“바로 여기 입니다.”


서서먹는 전문 가게

도미타 씨는 스시집의 간판을 가리켰다. 서서먹는 전문(立喰專門)이라는 빛바랜 간판이 눈에 들어왔다. 도미타 씨는 ‘빨리 줄을 서자’고 했다. 시각은 오전 10시 40분. 이미 여러 사람이 줄을 서고 있었다. 문을 여는 시각은 정각 11시란다.

문 열기 전부터 줄서는 가게

11시가 되자 요리사 복장을 한 종업원이 나타나서 가게의 이름이 새겨진 천을 걸기 시작했다. 노렌(暖簾)이었다.

“이 가게가 곧 문을 연다는 것을 알리는 것입니다.”

도미타 씨는 이어서 일본의 전통인 노렌에 대해서 설명했다.

“노렌의 시작은 가게 안에 직사광선이나 바람이 들어오는 것을 막기 위한 목적이었으나, 세월이 흘러 용도가 바뀌었습니다. 또 하나, 음식을 집어먹은 손을 노렌으로 닦고 나가는 오래된 풍습도 있었습니다. 그렇다고 해서 주인이 ‘나쁜 놈들‘하고 화를 내는 것이 아니라, ‘오늘은 장사가 잘 되었다’고 즐거워했습니다. 그만큼 많은 사람들이 다녀갔기 때문입니다.“

참으로 재미있는 풍습이었다. 사람마다 생각이 다른 것이다. 긍정(肯定)은 더 좋은 긍정을 잉태하고, 부정(否定)은 더 나쁜 부정을 잉태하는 것과 같은 이치였다.

스시의 3대 요소가 맞아 떨어져

노렌이 걸리자 잠시 후에 드르륵 가게 문이 열리고, 기다리던 손님들을 안으로 불러들이기 시작했다. 10-12명 정도가 설 수 있는 자리는 바로 메워졌다.

가게 안에서는 요리사 3명과 여성 종업원 한 명이 있었다. 원칙적으로는 사진 촬영을 못하게 했다. 그래도 필자는 몇 컷 찍었다. 주문한 스시가 두 개씩 스시다이(壽司台) 위에 놓여졌다. 필자는 젓가락이 없어서 손으로 집어 입에 넣었다.

“아!”

감탄사 외에는 아무 말도 하지 못했다. 일본에 수 없이 들락거리면서 ‘비싸다’는 스시를 많이 접했지만, 이토록 맛있는 스시를 처음으로 먹었기 때문이다.


꽁치, 연어, 광어스시

일본인들은 스시의 3대 요소로 ‘샤리(舍利), 다네(種), 쇼유(醬油)’를 꼽는다. 좋은 쌀로 지은 초밥용 밥(舍利)과 선도가 좋은 생선(種) 그리고, 감칠맛 나는 간장(醬油)을 말한다. 이 가게는 삼박자를 모두 갖추고 있었다.

“맛도 일품이지만, 이 가게는 가격대비 품질이 매우 좋습니다. 사람들이 많이 찾는 이유가 있습니다.”

도미타 씨가 설명했다.

“그렇군요. 가성비(價性比)가 좋다는 것이군요. 한국에서는 이를 ‘착한 가격’이라고도 합니다.”

“맞습니다. 같은 의미입니다.”

2대째 이어지는 가게

서서먹으면서도 시간 가는 줄 몰랐다. 그러던 중 필자는 가게 주인에게 ‘이곳에서 몇 년 째 영업을 하느냐?’고 짧게 물었다. 그의 손놀림으로 봐서 무척 바빠 보였기 때문이다.

“50년 되었습니다.”

한자리에서 반백년이라. 결코 쉽지 않은 일이다. 창밖으로 고개를 돌리자 기다리는 줄이 더 길어지고 있었다.

“다른 사람을 위해서 자리를 옮깁시다.”

필자는 도미타 씨와 남은 맥주로 건배를 하고 계산을 했다. 물론, 현금이다. 가게 문을 열고 나서자 줄은 가게를 한 바퀴 감싸고 있었다.


줄을 서는 사람들

필자는 한 개당 110엔(1,100원)에서 330엔(3,300원)의 착한 가격으로 맛이 좋은 스시로 50년 동안 한자리를 지키는 장인정신(匠人精神)이 마음에 들었다.

If you’re selling high-end fashion, Vide Dressing is a great site for your products, and the site makes things easy for low-volume sellers.

25. Move Loot

If you have furniture to sell online, Move Loot is the place to go. Submit your items via the website, and the company will pick it up and sell the items for you. It’s a low-key, simple way to get rid of extra household items, and since the company lists the products for you, the process is as easy as it gets. Move Loot is only available in a few U.S. cities at the moment.

Not exactly an eCommerce platform, but you can still sell on Craigslist pretty easily because it’s been around for ages and everyone knows it’s a place to look. Just list an item, choose a price and upload photos. It’s not the most efficient for bulk selling, but rather for one-off sales.

If you have a closet full of designer dresses, Style Lend is a great way to make some money. The service allows you to rent out your designer dresses for around 10% of the retail price. It’s a great way for users to try out the latest styles without breaking the budget, and lenders can make some extra cash without too much work.
